Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri called on the citizens of Adamawa to take the opportunity of the New Year to renew their commitment to Adamawa growth and development projects, claiming that his government is on the verge of ushering in more infrastructure, human development and improving the well-being of all residents of the state.

While thanking the people for their support which creates an atmosphere conducive to economic and developmental progress, the Governor reiterates his government’s determination to make the Adamawa even bigger.

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, addressing citizens in his New Year’s statement, called on Nigerians to imbue themselves with the spirit of forgiveness, love, reconciliation and re-dedication in the service of God and of humanity in 2022.

“The end of the year and the start of a new one give us all an opportunity for reflection and soul-searching, as well as for planning, but most important is the time to give thanks to Almighty God. for the donation and for his care and disposition towards all of us, ”said Fintiri.

While wishing the people of Adamawa State a happy, secure and prosperous year 2022, the Governor notes that the plans and efforts of the people over the past year would bear abundant fruit in 2022.

“We thank God for leading us safe and sound at the end of a busy year. As we celebrate the end of an extraordinary year and look forward to personal, state and national progress in 2022.

“I urge you to engage more in the Adamawa Project and support our state economic development plans, as we intend to do more in terms of infrastructure renewal, human capital development and welfare. to be of our people “, reiterates Fintiri.

While thanking the people of the state for their support over the past two and a half years, Governor Fintiri congratulated the citizens for their patriotic partnership.

He said that over the past two and a half years, the government has worked hard to accelerate progress in the state by laying the groundwork for the kind of economy needed for young, educated and ambitious people.

“What a year this has been, and we’re just getting started. Together, we make Adamawa even better.

“Looking back on the accomplishments and milestones we made during the year 2021, I know that some of us have had a very difficult year, either economically or through personal tragedies such as the loss of loved ones or those struggling with illnesses and other troubling situations.

“For you, it is my hope and my prayer that the new year ushers in better days for you and for all of us,” he said.

The governor particularly noted the engagement of medical professionals as the world battles the Omicron virus and encouraged people to get vaccinated against the pandemic.

He said: “We have to accept that despite the progress, there are still challenges that we have to overcome.

“By coming together to meet our challenges, we would form the basis not of division, but rather of a wake-up call on how we must move forward in order to turn challenges into opportunities and prosperity. “
