UK-headquartered text analytics software company Relative Insight has appointed long-time IBM executive Kimberly Shernoff to lead its US-based sales team from its new office. Company Philadelphia.
Relative Insight’s platform combines AI-powered natural language processing with advanced comparative linguistics to analyze textual data from multiple sources – including open-ended survey questions and data from analytics tools, social media and product reviews – helping clients understand their target audiences, competitors and trends. The company is headquartered in Lancaster, UK, with additional offices in London and New York, and earlier this week announced the opening of an office in Philadelphia.
Shernoff (pictured) joins with more than two decades of experience in sales, human capital management, talent acquisition and business development. Most recently, she was a freelance coach for companies and sales executives seeking to improve processes, increase sales velocity and develop targeted strategies for growth. Prior to that, she held leadership positions in sales and talent acquisition at companies such as IBM, where she worked for almost fifteen years. She was also an Adjunct Professor of Advertising and Sales at Bucks County Community College.
In his new role as Sales Enablement Director, Shernoff is responsible for the US division of the company’s sales team; integration and training of new staff; and manage all aspects of the sales function. Commenting on the appointment, CRO James Cuthbertson said: “With her background in technology coupled with her extensive experience in career coaching and sales training, Kim was literally the perfect person for the job. With the majority of our customers based in the United States, our new Philadelphia sales office is a vital part of our continued growth. We know it will be in good hands with Kim at the helm.”
