ELMONT, NY – Multi-stakes Klaravich Stables placed Crowded Trade will make its turf debut Friday at the inaugural Carle Place $ 100,000 Race, a seven-stadium turf Widener sprint for sophomores at Belmont Park.
Coached by four-time Eclipse Award-winning trainer Chad Brown, the Alezan More Than Ready first graduated by requesting a six-stadium sprint in January at Aqueduct racetrack. The chestnut colt followed with a pair of playing efforts at the Big A, finishing second with a nose to Weyburn in the Gotham Grade 3 one-mile in March and third at Bourbonic in the nine-stadium Wood Grade 2 Memorial in April. .
After a fifth place in Grade 1 Preakness in May at Pimlico, Crowded Trade only returned in August when a distant third in Grade 2 Amsterdam, contested on a sloppy and sealed main track at Saratoga Race Course.
He enters from a troubled fifth in a 6 1/2 stadium allocation sprint on September 4 at Saratoga won by Baby Yoda, who abandoned that effort to finish third in Vosburgh Class 2 here last Saturday.
A purchase of $ 185,000 for the September Keeneland Yearling Sale, Crowded Trade crossed the Oklahoma training ground five-eighths on Friday in 1: 02.95 as Brown looks to reinvent the talented colt.
“He played well on it. He’s definitely bred for it, ”Brown said. “I’ll try to change a bit with this horse. It didn’t develop as we hoped on earth, so we’re going to try that.
Joel Rosario has the call from the indoor station.
Crown’s Way Racing’s Smokin ‘Jay passed Momos in the final jumps to capture Allied Forces’ $ 100,000 on September 17 at Belmont, giving coach Kelsey Danner his first career victory.

Jose Ortiz retrieves the mount from station 3.
Sonata Stable’s Arzak, a maroon from Not This Time coached by Mike Trombetta, endured a rough trip in the Allied forces when he was struck at the start, trailing the field eight by eight lengths. Arzak was knocked down for the stretch performed by Irad Ortiz, Jr. and finished third.
A purchase of $ 575,000 at the OBS Spring Sale for 2-year-olds in training, Arzak was also compromised early on when he finished third in the My Frenchman, a 5½-stage sprint on turf. from Monmouth Park three departures on July 11.
“He was a bit unlucky and hopefully we can turn the tide,” Trombetta said. “He’s not very fast from the start. He’s got a lot of speed, but that first step or two he’s not as fast as you’d like and inevitably seems to find a way to get close to a horse that likes to run into us. We just need everyone to get out of it straight away and he’ll be fine.
Durable Arzak posted an 8-2-1-1 record in 2021, including an optional 3 1/4 long scorecard traveling a mile on the Tampa Bay turf on his seasonal debut in addition to his stroke. Tom Ridge.
“He’s solid. He runs with good horses and I hope his turn will come, ”said Trombetta. “He ran really well at Presque Isle and I think he has an affinity for the synthetic as well, so we’ll do it again at some point as well.”
Manny Franco retrieves the mount from station 6.
Breeze Easy’s Easy Time, a dark bay son of Not This Time, has made his last three Classified Company starts, including a victory in the Grade 3 Marine 1 1/16 miles on the Woodbine Tapeta in July.
